Welcome! My name is Chris Nolan, and I love drag racing! A little background about me, I am currently in the Air Force and love everything about racing. In 2010 I bought my first car, a 2004 Nissan 350Z and that is when I started modifying cars. It started with some small bolt-ons, cold air and full exhaust. I took it my local track for a test-n-tune and was hooked! My best time was 9.3 in the 1/8th. I went on a deployment and bought a twin turbo kit then installed it when I got back. In 2013 I went to TX2K and was introduced to real time street racing, and there was no turning back. Sadly, in late 2013, I ended up blowing the motor up in the 350Z. But that didn’t stop me! At that point I was in build mode. I LS swapped the Z with a 6.0, installed a LSA supercharger and paired it with a T56 6 Speed manual transmission. That combo made 650whp on 13psi on pump gas. I went back to the track and ended the 2019 season with a best time of 7.05 at 98mph. I realized that manuals were fun to drive, but they were not nearly as fast as an automatic. As I was gathering parts to swap the T56 for a TH400, I came across this deal of a car. $500 for a 1997 Cobra, it was a roller, and the paint was in bad shape, but it was all there minus an engine and transmission. So, in January 2020, I bought it, and it snowballed from there. I Used the engine from the Z with a new camshaft, sold the supercharger and went twin turbo, built just about everything else to include the turbo kit, roll cage and even wired it. It made its first track debut and went a 6.98 the first time out. It has only gone faster each time. Finished out the year with Radial Round Up at Texas Motorplex where we won first round in True Street. However, we lost in the second round because we broke out, we were too fast for the 5.48 index, went a 5.43, which was a new personal best. I can’t wait to see what the future holds and how fast we can go.
